9/10 months...time is flying!

Selah is 10 1/2 months, and I'm finally getting to this blog post. :-)

Weight:  17 lbs, 9 oz at 9 month appointment

Length: 28 inches

Moods:  So happy!  She loves to be bounced and tickled under her armpits....I just love her big belly laughs!  Sometimes, she pretends to be shy and buries her face in our shoulder, only to peek out at the person she's meeting.

Favorite foods:  Everything!  She eats more than Cameron or Chloe most meals.  She loves meat and berries.  As the third child, she's already tried cake and ice cream...haha.  She rarely lets someone feed her with a spoon; she just wants to feed herself.  She breastfeeds before naps and at bedtime (any other time she is so distracted...we call it gymnurstics. :-P )

Teeth:  Just two on the bottom.

Favorite toy:  Mommy's phone?  Sissy's barbie dream house?  She doesn't care for baby toys, and is constantly putting tsum tsums and barbie shoes in her mouth.

Favorite hobby:  Pulling up on everything - mommy or daddy's legs, the dishwasher, chairs, etc.  And pulling everything off the bottom shelf of the pantry.

Playtime:  She likes to play peek-a-boo and to be chased.  She's a fast little crawler!

Sleep:  She sleeps through the night most nights, but is up early (7:30pm - 5:30/6 am).  Two naps per day, each 1.5-2 hours.

Milestones:
-Social:  Other than some coy hiding of her face, really no stranger danger.  She looks for objects that you hide (behind your back, for example).  She has the best laugh. :-)
-Language:  Yayaya, dadada, mamama.  Nothing purposeful yet (though 'dada' is said happily, and 'mama' is when demanding more food and sounds more like a growl). :-)
-Gross motor:  Crawls fast (especially when she spies the open baby gate!), pulls up on everything, will let go and stand for 3-5 seconds.  Has been holding her own cup for a couple months at least.
-Fine motor:  Likes to pretend to use silverware - it's probably time to let her try for real.  Can pick up the tiniest rock and put it in her mouth. :-P
