Moods: The brief separation anxiety is gone - she will turn away from strangers sometimes (pretending to be shy), but then give them her biggest smile. :-)
Favorite foods: Fruit! She loves blackberries and raspberries. She also loves pasta.
Teeth: 4 on bottom, 3 on top!
Favorite toy: Her Christmas gifts (given early, because mommy has no self control) - play kitchen from grandma and pappy, and Vtech alphabet train from mommy and daddy.
Favorite hobby: Pulling books off of the shelves
Playtime: The toys already mentioned. Leap frog table and picnic basket are still hits. Shredding toilet paper and magazines. Cruising along the furniture. Looking out the windows.
Sleep: Still 11 hours at night and two naps (total about 3.5 hours per day) - we are so appreciating this stage!
Milestones:
-Social: She will mimic kissing noises - so cute! She's always been smiley, but her laugh comes easier now. At restaurants, after she finishes eating, she looks around for someone to smile at and flirt with.
-Language: Mama and Dada, though not directed at us yet. :-) I think she's really close to 'bye'.
-Gross motor: Cruising like crazy! She will stand unsupported for at least 30 seconds, but doesn't try to take steps yet - she's pretty cautious. She will kneel to reach things when she isn't supposed to stand (like in the bath).
-Fine motor: She stands on tip toes to reach high shelves - so cute :-)
oh you guys! She is just adorable! We rejoice with you in the unspeakably great gift of kiddos!!! And too... we are so grateful for you guys. You bless us so much and we are so thankful!
