9 months (I know, late again....)

Weight: Who knows?!?! 9 month appointment was pushed back....we'll find out soon!

Length: No idea :-)

Moods: Separation anxiety is beginning.  Still mild, thank goodness.  This may be related to all the traveling we've been doing also.  In the last 3 weeks, we've been in DC, Ames, Des Moines, Omaha, and Sioux City - whew!  Enough to make anyone cling to their mama (and daddy) a little.....

Favorite foods:  Anything that's not pureed.  She is NOT a fan of really any baby food anymore, except those pouches she can kind of hold while we squeeze them into her mouth. :-)  We love the Cracker Barrel now because you can get so many vegetable sides - she'll eat them all!  She's starting to like yogurt.  She had tiny pieces of beef and vegetables from my curry last night, and actually didn't hate it. :-)

Teeth:  2.1 (those same two lower incisors, but now we can see the edge of the top incisor peeking through too!)

Favorite toy:  LeapFrog picnic basket (also, any and all of the new-to-her toys at grandma's!)

Favorite hobby: Pulling up on everything!

Playtime: Up, down, and all around.  LeapFrog toys, blocks, books.  Magnets on the stove and dishwasher so we can get something done in the kitchen.

Sleep: Usually 11 uninterupted hours when at home, but travel was rough on everyone.  She was up at 5:45 every morning in the Midwest - yay!  Still two naps per day - no complaints there!

Milestones:
-Social:  Her smiles are the best - she'll even smile for almost every picture!  She mimics lots of sounds.
-Language:  No more quiet - she is babbling like crazy, and will 'talk back'.  She says 'mama' when looking for comfort, but it is not associated with me alone.
-Gross motor:  She isn't cruising too much - just a couple steps along furniture now and then.  She's starting to let go of furniture and stand on her own though.  She's reaching for things above her head now.
-Fine motor: She can get ahold of anything she wants.  She still would rather destroy the stack of blocks then stack them herself. :-)

  1. Chloe is adorable! Love her smiles. Glad she likes her monkey too. Sounds like a busy little girl who is growing up so fast! Hugs to her from G-Auntie M.
