5 months already?!?!

Moods: Still so happy - we are so blessed!  Lately, we've been attending some functions to celebrate graduation - she is so content to just sit in your lap, even when we keep her up past bedtime.  What a sweet, sweet girl!

Favorite foods: She still loves her spoon!  She has had rice cereal, sweet potatoes, and carrots.  Carrots seem to be the favorite right now.

Favorite toy:   She is beginning to reach for things that are not right in front of her.  She likes her Sophie and her little elephant blanket.

Favorite hobby: Jumping in the jumperoo!

Playtime: We use floor time to practice sitting and standing with help.  We read and sing.  We have started going to a weekly play group with some moms/babies from church, when I'm not working.  It's been so hot, but we try to do walks too!

Sleep: Still up twice per night, but she goes back down easy and sleeps about 7:30pm - 7:00am.  She still takes three naps (about 1.5 hours each) during the day, so I catch up on sleep and charting then.:-)

Milestones:
-Social:  She brings us such joy with her smiles, laughs, and squeals.  She is so alert and is always checking out her surroundings.
-Language:  More squeals than syllables lately. :-)
-Gross motor:  She loves to roll back to front (she actually prefers sleeping on her tummy now).  She actually likes tummy time, finally.  This morning, she rolled from front to back!  She has really strong legs, and can support herself in your lap for long periods of time.
-Fine motor:  She reaches for everything when I'm holding her - bottle making supplies, my food, my glasses.

    Chloe is darling! Love the smiles. Thanks for letting us know what she is like, what she is doing/personality, etc. Helps to "get to know" her better. Who is Sophie? ..the monkey??

The final blog post for the final baby

Weight:  19 lbs, 13 oz Height: 29" Moods:  Sassy!  She has a lot to say (babbling loudly), and has an opinion now when something is taken away from her. Favorite foods:  She is slowing down as far as amount eaten, but still eats everything.  Teeth:  Only 4!  Two central incisors on bottom, and two LEFT upper incisors - they aren't aligned and it's so funny. :-)  See top picture above. Favorite toy:  She really likes her walker, and her new jack-in-the-box from Auntie Krista. Favorite hobby:  Pulling all of the toys out of the toy box, and gunning for the stairs if someone leaves the gate open. Playtime:  Pulling everything out of the cupboards, cruising along furniture, climbing stairs, ruining the big kids' toys, and...finally interested in books! Selah is 2 months old

Weight: 9 lbs, 9 oz (14th percentile) Length: 22" (36th percentile) Moods: She's most happy in the morning.  If we don't get a good morning nap, she tends to be fussy unless held. Favorite foods: Milk! Favorite toy: She likes her activity mat, and will hold the octopus sometimes. Favorite hobby: Defying mommy and daddy with short naps. Playtime: Morning mat time.  Baths are always a hit! Sleep: Around 6 weeks, she began eating at about 2 and 5am.  Around 8 weeks, she cut back to around 3-4 am, then up for the day around 6:30/7.  She's been a bit off since traveling this weekend....but hopefully we get that pattern back!  She has one long mid-day nap, but other naps are irregular.  Milestones: Smiles!  A rare 'coo', which we love to hear.  Good head control. She was born on her great-grandpa Ray's birthday, and turned two months on her great-grandpa Paul's birthday.  My loves     ...
