In Mid-June, Dana and Adam came to visit. Dana is starting PA school in Roanoke, VA in August, and they needed to look for housing. I joined them Friday for a trip to beautiful Roanoke, set in the mountains (the pic here is from fall, but you get the idea....)

The Taulman Art Center, downtown

On Saturday, we went to Childress Winery, for outdoor music in the vineyards

View of the outdoor seating and gazebo (taken on an earlier trip to the vineyard). We sat in the shade beneath the building's upper deck, and enjoyed treats from the Bistro - fried goat cheese, crab dip, and yummy sandwiches.

The outdoor/music area (pic from the web - I was so bad about using my camera while Dana and Adam were here!)

We took a tour after lunch. The barrel room was set up for an event, much like this.

On Sunday, we went to the Greensboro Farmer's Market. We bought blueberries, peaches, and woopie pies. :-) Mark also found this bonsai!

We ate dinner at Brixx Wood Fired Pizza. We tried pear and gargonzola pizza, Mexican pizza, and buffolo chicken pizza - complete with ranch and celery!

On Monday, we went back to Roanoke to look at more rental properties - and they found a gorgeous house! We are so excited for their move!
