Jim and Marilyn's Visit - Day 3

On Wednesday morning, we visited the large farmer's market in Greensboro. Here is an aerial view of the property....

We purchased some lovely flowers and yummy berries.

That afternoon, we drove to the Lazy 5 Ranch outside of Charlotte.

The lemurs were very playful.....

And the llamas were very hungry.

As were the camels, but they'll steal your bucket, so they didn't get any food.

The sheep and goats were jealous for our food and attention.

Red kangaroos

A cactus blooming

In the drive-through section of the park, the emus were as aggressive as ever. :-)

This zebra was also quite persistant; he came right up to the window.....

and then followed close behind for the next several minutes. :-)

We saw adorable baby piglets....

and baby emus

even a young giraffe!

Only this adult male was tall enough to reach over the high fence to be fed.

After our return to Winston Salem, we grilled burgers and made salad and sweet corn. Then our nightly movie :-) - tonight, 'It's Complicated'.
