Dana and Adam

Dana and Adam came to visit in January; she had an interview in Roanoke, VA.

To celebrate after her interview, we ate at yummy Sweet Potatoes. The next day, we visited Old Salem........while the cakes and shops and architecture were great, the best part was this man walking his goat (and his dog). :-)

Then we went to a couple wineries in Yadkin Valley - Shadow Creek of course (for their chocolate infused wine), and the lovely Italian vineyard, Raffaldini.

On Sunday, we drove to Asheville. We shopped at the Grove Arcade (seen below) and other cool little shops........

And had lunch with Lisa N (friend from high school, doing residency in Asheville) before heading into the mountains to visit Chimney Rock. This little lake community was so beautiful!

There were more shops, etc at Chimney Rock.....had to get some fudge!

What was the best part of the visit? Dana was accepted and decided to attend PA school in Virginia! Another Southern Shookie! They'll move this summer - we're so excited to have family close by!!
