February 2010
The next night, we stayed at a local hotel that offered a package that included dinner in their restaurant and room-service breakfast. It was a much needed break after many stressful weeks at work - if only Step 3 of our medical boards weren't looming the next week!

On Valentine's Day weekend, we spent Saturday touring the Swan Creek Valley Vineyards. It was snowy but warm. Each vineyard had a chocolate and wine pairing - the last stop had chocolate infused wine - so yummy!
The next night, we stayed at a local hotel that offered a package that included dinner in their restaurant and room-service breakfast. It was a much needed break after many stressful weeks at work - if only Step 3 of our medical boards weren't looming the next week!

Mark and I completed our boards, and celebrated at the Melting Pot afterward. Found out a couple weeks ago that we passed - such a relief!
It's a tiny Tobasco!
We are getting so close to the end of intern year! By now, Mark has completed rotations in Neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, OB, neonatal ICU, medical ICU, pulmonology, and cardiology. He is now working in the ER - doesn't love it like I do, though. :-) He is coming up on his first Anesthesiology rotation of the year - woohoo!
I've worked 5 months in the adult and pediatric ER, and have also rotated with OB, trauma surgery, orthopedics, and ultrasound.
