Hanging Rock

Two weekends ago, we visited Hanging Rock State Park.......just a 45 minute drive away. We drove through Tobaccoville to get there (no joke). So our new crop along the roads, rather than corn, is tobacco.......seen here planted in that red North Carolina clay/soil.

After a picnic lunch, we hiked one of the easier trails for a warm-up......... it ended at this lovely waterfall.

We then headed for Hanging Rock itself........seen here through the trees, at the start of the trail.

Gina was exhausted by the time we reached the top........

But had she not sat down, she wouldn't have noticed this cute lizard!

Mark, meanwhile, was full of energy!

Hope you are enjoying the weather too!
