The final blog post for the final baby

Image
Weight:  19 lbs, 13 oz Height: 29" Moods:  Sassy!  She has a lot to say (babbling loudly), and has an opinion now when something is taken away from her. Favorite foods:  She is slowing down as far as amount eaten, but still eats everything.  Teeth:  Only 4!  Two central incisors on bottom, and two LEFT upper incisors - they aren't aligned and it's so funny. :-)  See top picture above. Favorite toy:  She really likes her walker, and her new jack-in-the-box from Auntie Krista. Favorite hobby:  Pulling all of the toys out of the toy box, and gunning for the stairs if someone leaves the gate open. Playtime:  Pulling everything out of the cupboards, cruising along furniture, climbing stairs, ruining the big kids' toys, and...finally interested in books! Sleep:  Down around 7:15, up around 5:30 (!!).  Two naps/day, two hours each. Milestones:  -Social:  Laughs when others do.  Mimi...

Selah is 10 1/2 months, and I'm finally getting to this blog post. :-) Weight:  17 lbs, 9 oz at 9 month appointment Length: 28 inches Moods:  So happy!  She loves to be bounced and tickled under her armpits....I just love her big belly laughs!  Sometimes, she pretends to be shy and buries her face in our shoulder, only to peek out at the person she's meeting. Favorite foods:  Everything!  She eats more than Cameron or Chloe most meals.  She loves meat and berries.  As the third child, she's already tried cake and ice cream...haha.  She rarely lets someone feed her with a spoon; she just wants to feed herself.  She breastfeeds before naps and at bedtime (any other time she is so distracted...we call it gymnurstics. :-P ) Teeth:  Just two on the bottom.  Favorite toy:  Mommy's phone?  Sissy's barbie dream house?  She doesn't care for baby toys, and is constantly putting tsum tsums and barbie...

Pulling the blocks down Eating the blocks Weight: 17 pounds Moods:  Happy except for meal time....lots of grunting and growling that is hard to interpret (Are you done?  Wanting more?  Wanting to feed yourself???) Favorite Foods:  She loves to feed herself and is doing well with her pincer grasp.  She has tried chicken, hamburger, and ham.  Likes yogurt and cheese.  She loves crackers and Cheerios.  Any berries or soft fruit are a hit.  Also loves roasted sweet potatoes. Teeth:  None yet!  Our latest teether for sure... Favorite toys:  Things with buttons, her farm set. Favorite hobby:  Trying to crawl up the one stair from the carpet to the hardwood; trying to pull up on things. Playtime:  Floor time to practice her mobility.....but now that she's crawling, you've got to watch her like a hawk! Sleep:  Two naps per day (about 2 hours each).  Goes down easy at night and has been...

Weight:  14 lbs, 11 oz at 6 month visit Length: 25 inches Moods:  So happy!   (though you might not know it when I try to take these pics!) Go with the flow.  She handled the zoo in the heat over naptime a few weeks ago... such a good baby. :-) Favorite foods:  We've come a long way in 2 months!  She has liked all her baby foods (Stage 1 and 2), but we are doing finger foods too (gotta keep her busy while Mama eats!).  She's tried strawberries, pears, nectarines, bananas, avocado, and sweet potatoes - she loves to feed herself with that adorable raking grasp. We are doing great with breastfeeding!  Her love of solids has made it easier for me to keep up with pumping at work.  This is the farthest I've ever made it exclusively breastfeeding.... hoping to make it a year! Teeth:  None yet!  We swear it's any day now....but she's been chewing on her hands for weeks. :-) Favorite toy:  Little rattles F...

Weight: 12 lbs, 6 oz (at 4 month visit) Moods:  Happy most all of the time!  She smiles freely and often, and she brings us so much joy- Favorite foods:  Milk!  Happy to say that breastfeeding and pumping are still going well.  We tried oatmeal cereal a week ago, and she pretty much refused to open her mouth - haha. Favorite toy:  Rubber rings that she can chew on....she has some at home and some in the carseat. Favorite hobby:  Blowing spit bubbles and raspberries. :-) Playtime:  Playmat, floor time, or Bumbo - chewing on toys. Sleep: We tried the Magic Merlin Sleep Suit for awhile, but she kept pulling her legs up and getting stuck.  Now we are back in a sleep sack.  Naps are going pretty well.  If she naps well, she gets up twice per night.  But if we are out and about too much, we pay for it with more night wakings. :-( Milestones: -Social:  Toothless little grins, and a few...

Back to work. Little love is 3 months old

Weight: Between 11 and 12 pounds. Length:  Not sure Moods:  A bit fussy with mommy being back to work.  My first shift was a night shift...the first time any one else had put her to bed!  But we're making it work.  Today she was radiant with smiles - we love those gummy grins! Favorite foods:  Milk!  Hoping breastfeeding continues to go well as I get back to work. Favorite toy:  She's starting to hold the octopus on her activity mat, and I catch them in staring contests sometimes. :-) Favorite hobby:  Chewing on her hands - even if she just ate, she's chewing! Playtime:  On the mat or in someone's lap.  She's pretty good at tummy time and doesn't fuss! Sleep:  No pattern, it seems.  I thought we were down to once per night, but now it seems to range from 1-3 wakings per night.  Bedtime and wakeup time are consistent (7pm, 6:30am), and there's usually a 2-3 hour afternoon nap. Milestones: Soc...

Weight: 9 lbs, 9 oz (14th percentile) Length: 22" (36th percentile) Moods: She's most happy in the morning.  If we don't get a good morning nap, she tends to be fussy unless held. Favorite foods: Milk! Favorite toy: She likes her activity mat, and will hold the octopus sometimes. Favorite hobby: Defying mommy and daddy with short naps. Playtime: Morning mat time.  Baths are always a hit! Sleep: Around 6 weeks, she began eating at about 2 and 5am.  Around 8 weeks, she cut back to around 3-4 am, then up for the day around 6:30/7.  She's been a bit off since traveling this weekend....but hopefully we get that pattern back!  She has one long mid-day nap, but other naps are irregular.  Milestones: Smiles!  A rare 'coo', which we love to hear.  Good head control. She was born on her great-grandpa Ray's birthday, and turned two months on her great-grandpa Paul's birthday.  My loves     ...
